The urban Baby Phat style is the brainchild of famed pioneering hip-hop mogul Russell and his ex-wife (and main designer) Kimora Lee Simmons. The couple founded Baby Phat as a sub-label of Simmons Phat Farm lifestyle/fashion company in 1999. Phat stands for “Pretty, Hot, and Tempting”, and as such espouses an exciting and loud feeling of glamor. Starting as a line of “ghetto glam” baby tees, success allowed the brand to move on to jeans, cocktail dresses, accessories, childrenswear and a line of footwear. They have even expanded into a series of scrubs and nurses uniformsusing their sexy feline logo.A must for club goers and street savvy celebrities alike, Baby Phat has been seen splashed across the bodies of Alicia Keys, Halle Berry, and even fashion legend Andre Leon Talley. The style of Baby Phat could be said to directly reflect the loves of long time designer Kimora. She has said (of her opulent tastes in clothing) “I love my jewelry. I love my diamonds. I love my shoes. I have diamond shoes. Some people might prefer more demure look. I like it all out screaming. I don’t care.”  Despite a less than amicable split from Baby Phat in 2010,
